I love urban fantasy and it's all Joss Whedon's fault. From the time I watched my first episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer I was hooked. I try and continue his tradition of weaving together comedy and strong female characters to create a compelling story.
Academically, my background is in philosophy and psychology so instead of driving a taxi for a living I decided to become a writer. I published my first book, Until Death, July 12, 2011 and couldn't be happier with the experience I've had; there is nothing like seeing your book on sale at major retailers. I'm hoping to get In Death, the second book in my series, into stores by the end of October.
