Working full time, I find it nearly impossible to carve out three solid hours of writing per day. Plus, I write a lot slower--probably 500 words per hour when I'm really on fire. Chuck is the main bread-winner in his family and I think that is part of the reason he is writing so many words a year. To me, writing shouldn't be a contest--much less a contest about quantity.
