Even P.D. James--not Christie's biggest fan--admitted this in her wonderful essay on detective fiction (Talking about Karen Woodwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497346859460691324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1939271308870333669.post-23430645078888146432014-03-26T07:46:33.328-07:002014-03-26T07:46:33.328-07:00Thanks Andrew! Thanks Andrew!Karen Woodwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497346859460691324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1939271308870333669.post-51675606601033653972014-03-26T07:29:12.562-07:002014-03-26T07:29:12.562-07:00Your terrific post prompted me to subscribe to you...Your terrific post prompted me to subscribe to your newsletter and to reread some of my favorite Agatha Christie mysteries! Agatha is the one who got me hooked on mysteries at a very young age, and I still re-read them.

I'm also of the opinion that The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is the best murder mystery ever:
1.
