It's puzzling why some folks sell more on B&N than others. Perhaps certain genres sell better on B&N, I'll have to pay more attention.Karen Woodwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497346859460691324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1939271308870333669.post-71163862778552064062012-06-24T21:14:06.975-07:002012-06-24T21:14:06.975-07:00It's strange the way some sell at B&N and ...It's strange the way some sell at B&N and other venues but some just don't. Between my fantasy books and my pseudonymous thrillers, I have borrows almost daily through KDP, but I don't think I've ever sold more than 10 books in a month through all the non-Amazon retailers combined. All of my titles are in KDP now because I can loan more out (and get paid for them) than I can Jamie Sedgwick - Jeramy Gateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07309163739300635768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1939271308870333669.post-90191043047688421342012-06-24T10:51:01.468-07:002012-06-24T10:51:01.468-07:00Hi Jake, my apologies if I didn't make it clea...Hi Jake, my apologies if I didn't make it clear you were traditionally published.

Congratulations on your success and thank you for kindly sharing your experiences.Karen Woodwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497346859460691324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1939271308870333669.post-2964475227152033332012-06-23T22:22:10.955-07:002012-06-23T22:22:10.955-07:00Perhaps Karen's piece doesn't make it enti...Perhaps Karen's piece doesn't make it entirely clear that I'm not self-published. My publisher is Marshall Cavendish, an old time UK publisher now owned by a Singapore media group. They distribute my print editions in Europe, the UK, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, and they have digital rights in certain territories which are licensed through a Hong Kong digital distributor. Amazon KDP Select seems like a good option to explore as long as an Author has a backup plan, just in case the bottom falls out one day.

Thanks for the comment!Karen Woodwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497346859460691324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1939271308870333669.post-49677190846024206362012-06-23T19:10:04.294-07:002012-06-23T19:10:04.294-07:00Nice post. Perhaps selling exclusively through Amazon is a good thing, but it seems to me that it really limits you and sets up an epic fall should things change.RD Meyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15152909771651635284noreply@blogger.com
